About Mini-Scholarship Series

The CRF Mini Scholarships offer minor financial aid to students on a need basis, aimed at providing essential support to those who require it most. These disbursements are not necessarily tied to the best or top scorers in the Aptitude Tests.

It is important to note that there are no guarantees that an applicant will be awarded a Mini-Scholarship, and applicants should refrain from soliciting for it.

Financial Amounts

Unlike the main College Relief Fund scholarships, which can reach a maximum of N500,000, the Mini-Scholarship awards range from N20,000 to a maximum of N100,000. This flexibility allows us to assist a broader range of students with various financial needs. Each financial aid disbursed under this scheme will carry a Transaction Description of “CRF MINI-SCHOLARSHIP.”

Implications

Receiving a Mini-Scholarship does not affect a student’s chances of applying for or securing a main College Relief Fund Scholarship. This means that students who benefit from a Mini-Scholarship are still eligible to apply for the larger CRF scholarships in the future. However, students who are already benefiting from the main College Relief Fund Scholarships will not be eligible for the Mini-Scholarships to ensure fair distribution of funds.

Criteria

The specific criteria for selecting Mini-Scholarship recipients are intentionally kept confidential to prevent any potential abuse of the selection process. This approach ensures that the scholarships are awarded fairly and based on genuine need.

Frequency

We aim to make the Mini-Scholarships available on a monthly basis, particularly during periods between new CRF disbursements and new enrollments. However, we cannot guarantee the availability every month due to varying circumstances. The lists from the previous month may also be updated to include additional beneficiaries as needed.

How to Apply

While there is no standard application form for the Mini-Scholarships, students who are regular visitors and engage actively on the CRF website may be given priority (especially the Naira & Sense Series and those with Higher Points). This approach encourages continuous engagement and allows us to recognize dedicated students.

Am I Selected? How to Know.

If you selected or being considered for the Mini-Disbursement, you may get a message on your Personal Dashboard requesting for additional details from you such as your Bank and Account Number only. These must match your name on the CRF Database.

So, ensure to regularly check your dashboard for updates.

NOTE: The College Releef Fund will never ask you for your BVN, ATM Details, Password or OTP.
